What should you charge each student?

Add up the costs of one batch for a month, say how many students attend and how much profit you want. You get the fee per student, and what changes if the batch gets bigger or smaller.

One batch, one month (₹)

Charge each student about

₹2,950 a month

That covers your ₹25,000 of costs and leaves ₹10,000 profit with 12 students. Rounded up to the next ₹50.

To only break even you would charge ₹2,100.

The fee for your profit, by batch size

StudentsFee a month
6₹5,850
8₹4,400
10₹3,500
12₹2,950

A guide, not financial advice. It does not include GST, your own pay, or students who miss a month.

How the calculator works

The monthly fee is your costs plus the profit you want, divided by the number of students, rounded up to the next ₹50. The break-even fee is the same sum with no profit.

  • Count rent, coach pay and every smaller cost for the batch: boards, clocks, printouts, internet.
  • Use the number of students who actually pay, not the number on the list.
  • If you charge a fee already, enter it to see your profit now and how many students you need to break even.

The numbers are a guide, not financial advice. They leave out GST, your own pay and months when a student skips. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
